The National Puppetry Conference

Founded in 1990 and following in the footsteps of IPPA, The National Puppetry Conference brings puppet artists from around the world together for a week of performances, workshops, and master classes.  I’ve since been a part of three of them, working with Jim Kroupa, Bart. Roccoberton, Tim Lagasse, Martin P. Robinson, and Jim Rose.  Along with being a part of pre conference and main conference strands, I’ve created some short pieces in the participant project track.

Originally an idea from UConn’s UV/Black Theatre course, this was a massive project to do in just a few days.  MOST of this was filmed in the pitch black, upside down in a basement at the O’Neill… I’ll let you figure out what what parts were even acted out in reverse for effect…
